How to get started
If you are a student enrolled in an academic course,
you can take advantage of our writing services. Writing advising appointments
are 50 minutes long. All appointments will be offered virtually and will take
place online using Zoom. Your appointment is
free. Please make sure you do not miss your appointment.
To book an appointment, you can use this form. You will need to enter your MAC ID and password if you are not already signed into McMaster’s Office 365 suite. Then, you will be
contacted to set up your one-on-one appointment and share additional details. Please note that services
for McMaster Continuing Education students are limited to writing
support at this time.
Appointments will begin Monday January 24, 2022 and run until December 18, 2022 with the exceptions of the week of February 21 – 27, 2022 and a second week
in October, 2022 (specifics to follow). Some
evening appointments are available.

What to bring to your appointment?
- A copy of your work (e.g., a draft of your assignment, an outline)
- Your course outline and assignment
instructions, including a grading rubric if available
- Specific goals for which skills
you want to develop
- Ideas and questions about your
writing
