*Please note: the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Program and Yellow Belt Program will be undergoing a review and will no longer be offered in their current format. We will be announcing a new alternative format in Spring 2020. Keep checking the website for more updates.



  • For purposes of refunds, the day refers to the calendar day, beginning at 12:00 am.

    To withdraw from the program, please provide written notice to CCE via email (and include contact info). 

    • Withdraw 20 days or more before the program start date: 100% refund 
    • Withdraw 7-19 days before program start date: 70% refund OR transfer to the next available program delivery date; must direct detailed written request to Program Manager for review and determination
    • Withdraw 0-6 days before the program start date: no refund; no transfer – no exceptions 

    CCE reserves the right to cancel the program due to low enrolment or other factors.  

  • To receive a grade of “Pass”, all participants must attend 100% of the in person modules as well as receive a passing grade on the program assignments.
    To receive a McMaster University Certification of Completion in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt program, participants must receive a grade of “Pass”.

  • Participants must attend all in-person modules. If a module is missed, a refund will not be issued. In extenuating circumstances, the Program Manager may approve transferring to another offering to complete a missed module with advanced notice. However, this is at the sole discretion of the Program Manager. Decisions will be made on an individual basis.

    Please note, instructors are not able to approve special requests regarding missing modules or missing time from class. Please direct all such queries, in writing, to the Program Manager.

  • Professional Development courses do not qualify to receive tax receipts.

  • Instructors for the Lean Six Sigma Program may change from the information posted to the course website, or print catalogues/brochures.

    All instructors for the program are qualified subject matter experts.


  • Courses are held at McMaster CCE, One James North (1 James Street North, Hamilton, Ontario), McMaster’s Ron Joyce Centre (4350 South Service Rd. Burlington, Ontario), or Global Knowledge (2 Bloor Street East, 31st Floor, Toronto, Ontario). See maps and directions here. 

  • As this course uses a blended learning approach, online modules will provide the materials to prepare for in class sessions.

  • Yes.  The program contains both a Reflection assignment and a Project Plan assignment.  There are also ungraded quizzes and discussions to enhance your learning.  Attendance and participation contribute to your final grade.

  • You can access a proof of enrolment letter through Mosaic. To do so, follow the instructions below:

    1. Sign in to the McMaster Mosaic Student Center.

    2. In the Academics section, look for the drop down menu labelled “other academic”

    3. From this menu, select Enrolment/Financial Letters and click the double arrows

    4. Put in the corresponding information: 

    • Select Academic Career for this Letter:  Select Continuing Education.
    • Select Academic Term for this Letter: Select the term in which you took the class. 
    • Select which letter you would like to request: Select Enrolment/Completion letter. 
    • Select your delivery option: Select PDF. 

    Please note: your grade will only appear once it has been uploaded by the administrative staff. Please allow up to four weeks for grades to be submitted once the course has finished.

  • The PMP® exam is administered by the PMI®. It is your responsibility to apply to write the exam and book your exam time.
