Wood is the Executive Vice President of
the CMI Group, a multi-divisional group of companies centred in mortgage
lending and administration. She is passionate about strategic business
planning, organizational design, corporate leadership and project management,
and has been a driving force behind many of the strategic enhancements that led
to CMI earning the 130th spot on the 2018 Canadian Business Growth
500 ranking. Most recently she was named to the Canadian Mortgage
Professional’s 2019 “Women of Influence” list, which recognizes female trailblazers
and leaders in the mortgage industry. Elizabeth is also the founder and
operator of an award-winning bookkeeping and tax preparation firm in Hamilton.
Elizabeth has recently embarked on
her newest venture as an instructor in the McMaster Continuing Education Business Administration
program, where she hopes to use her experience and knowledge to support and
empower up and coming business professionals across all industries.
Elizabeth is designated a Chartered
Manager (C.Mgr.) by the Canadian Institute of Management and is a Certified
Manager (CM) through the Institute of Certified Professional Managers (USA).
Elizabeth graduated with distinction with a Bachelor of Commerce from Thompson
Rivers University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Athabasca
University. She is currently completing her MBA through Laurentian University.
