Wood is the Executive Vice President of
the CMI Group, a multi-divisional group of companies centred in mortgage
lending and administration. She is passionate about strategic marketing,
corporate finance, assurance and governance, organizational design, and corporate
leadership and project management, and has been a driving force behind many of
the strategic enhancements that led to CMI earning the 110th spot on
the 2019 Canadian Business Growth 500 ranking. Most recently she was named to
the Canadian Mortgage Professional’s 2019 Women of Influence list,
which recognizes female trailblazers and leaders in the mortgage industry.
Elizabeth is also the founder and operator of an award-winning bookkeeping and
tax preparation firm in Hamilton.
Elizabeth has been an instructor with
the McMaster Continuing Education Business Administration program since 2019, where she uses her
experience and knowledge to support and empower up-and-coming business
professionals across all industries.
Elizabeth is also a designated Chartered Manager (C.Mgr.) and is serving a 3-year term on the National Board
of Directors of the CIM Chartered Managers Canada. She is also a Certified
Manager (CM) through the Institute of Certified Professional Managers (USA).
Elizabeth graduated with distinction with a Bachelor of Commerce from Thompson
Rivers University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Athabasca
University. She is currently completing her MBA through Laurentian University.
