Over the last 20+ years Ernesto has worked in public and private-sector industries in Canada and internationally in different capacities in the Human Resources (HR) field: as HR Manager / HR Business Partner, Change Management Consultant and HR Project Manager. His work experience covers a diverse range of industries such as Manufacturing, IT Consulting, Healthcare, Telecommunications, Transportation and Retail. He is currently working as a Learning & Development Consultant supporting multi-million dollar projects in retail, including the largest HRIS Workday implementation in Canada.
Academically, Ernesto holds a Master of Industrial Relations (HR) from Queen’s University, an HR Management Certificate with Honours from Sheridan College and the CHRL designation by the HR Professional Association. These HR credentials are also complemented with certifications in Project Management (PMP), Training & Development (CTDP) and Change Management (Prosci).
Ernesto’s passion as a Senior HR Instructor is to support people by sharing his experience in the HR field while focusing on a values-based learning process. He is convinced that people joining the HR profession or taking their HR career to the next level must be prepared to deal with the tough challenges of our times with strong human oriented values combined with great technical preparation in the HR profession.
