Anna Korol

Anna Korol, PhD, MSc is a passionate educator focused on teaching and developing courses centered around interdisciplinary learning, research and innovation. She has taught in the fields of clinical research, statistics, cell biology, biomedical engineering and entrepreneurship. In her courses, Anna promotes critical, independent thought and student input through the use of open discussions.

Anna's NSERC-funded doctoral research focused on the prevention of cataract formation, a ubiquitous concern of human aging. This project yielded a novel therapeutic candidate that can be delivered directly into a patient’s eye to prevent cataracts, findings that have been published in scientific journals and presented at international conferences. Anna is currently teaching in the Integrated Biomedical Engineering and Health Sciences and Bachelor of Technology programs at McMaster University.
