Many course final examinations offered through McMaster University Continuing Education are administered online through our partnership with Examity®, a recognized leader in remote test proctoring. Examity® provides a secure and convenient way to take your exams online.
Starting March 15, 2020, all Accounting (ACC) online self-study (OSS) courses, as well as Surety (SAC) will have final examinations administered via remote live proctoring through our partnership with Examity®.
It is important to note the following systems requirements before registering in a course that uses Examity. Students must have:
- A desktop computer or laptop with Windows or Mac operating system (tablets or smartphones are not compatible)
- A webcam and microphone (built-in or external)
- A connection to network with sufficient internet speed: at least 2 Mbps download speed and 2 Mbps upload – test my internet speed.
- A browser with pop-up blocker disabled
Details on how to access and schedule your final examination through Examity®, as well as all other information and requirements, are posted to your course shell in Avenue to Learn (A2L).
Students are responsible for paying $50 ($36 US) Examity proctor fee. Please refer to your course shell for more details.
